Purpose of Position

Our client, a US based bank with a roster of over 350 employees is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support 150+ employees from the commercial & investments, credit and risk divisions throughout several US locations. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a vital role in connecting Human Resources with the business side to achieve its goals and add value to the organization and help the business make decisions. This position will serve as first line of HR support for the employees within the business units aforementioned.

Essential Job Functions

·        Aligning Business objectives with employees and management within the commercial and investments, credit and risk divisions.

·        Formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization(s).

·        Maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial positions, its mid range plans, its culture and its competition.

·        Provide support to senior leadership to help the organization remain a performance and results oriented company, through coaching and implementation of performance management tools and processes.

·        Proactively manage and resolved complex employee relations issues by conducting effective,thorough and objective investigations and recommended/implemented courses of action based on results.

·        Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, trends and policies.

·        Perform required analysis for commercial & investments, credit and risk work force planning.

·        Conduct weekly meetings with prospective business units.

·        Consult with line management and provide HR assistance when appropriate.

·        Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective and thorough and investigations.

·        Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management,i.e.: coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions.

·        Develop workforce and talent plans; participates in training and mentoring programs

·        Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management or employees and ensuring regulatory compliance.

·        Analyze employee engagement  and create action plans to increase employee engagement in partnership with senior leadership team.

·        Oversee “Employee Life Cycle”(Joiners/Leavers/Transfers/Promotions).

·        Oversee employee data/reporting systems are accurate and upto date.

·        Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

·       10 years of general HR experience, 5 Years in Banking (Must Have).

·       8 years’ experience resolving complex employee relation issues.

·       Bachelors Degree a must have; HR Degree a plus.

·        HR services experience.

Knowledge, Technical Skills and Expertise

·        Continuously looking for ways to streamline process and systems.

·        Understanding of HR practices.

·        Broad Understanding of how effective HR can impact the business.

·        Good command of spoken and written English language.

·        Good at building relationships internal and external employees, vendors and partners.

·        Team player.

·        Strong presentation skills.

·        Good understanding and usage of Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint,Teams, Word).

·       Experience with ADP HRIS and Payroll systems.
