Purpose of Position

• The candidate should have significant knowledge and experience with administering and designing Microsoft technologies such as Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Azure, SharePoint, Exchange and the Microsoft 365 suite and features - including Intune, Defender, SharePoint, Teams etc. • Experience being the primary responsible party over Enterprise Virtualization and Cloud Integrations • The ability to absorb new technologies and adapt to new challenges. • Knowledge and experience installing, supporting, and securing Microsoft operating systems and applications • A solid understanding of network standards, protocols, and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and how to troubleshoot network connectivity issues • Good scripting and automation skills using PowerShell to streamline repetitive tasks and improve system management efficiency • Hands-on experience and ownership with Microsoft Domain Services (Active Directory) and the Microsoft 365 platform including, Intune, Defender, SharePoint, and Teams. • Experience with Group Policy administration • Ability to multitask, and work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment

Essential Job Functions

·        Server Infrastructure Management: They oversee the bank's Windows Server environment, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization. This involves managing server roles and features essential for banking operations.

·        Active Directory and Entra (formerly Azure AD) Identity Management: Assist in maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure, managing user accounts, groups, permissions, and group policies to ensure secure and efficient identity management.

·        Security and Compliance: You will play a vital role in implementing security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with banking regulations and industry standards.

·        Patch Management and Vulnerability Assessment: Manage the deployment of security patches and updates across the environment to mitigate vulnerabilities found during weekly vulnerability scans.

·        Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Responsible for resolving more complex technical issues, such as system failures, security incidents, and other technical issues, and may serve asescalation points for the Help Desk.

·        Capacity Planning: Monitoring system performance and planning for capacity upgrades to meet the growing demands of banking operations is an important aspect of the role.

·        Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in preparing for and participating in compliance audits, ensuring that the bank's IT systems adhere to regulatory requirements.

·        Vendor Management: Due diligence of a vendor's security posture when any of the bank's information is hosted or held by them, to ensure they meet mandates from regulators, auditors, and customers.

·        Risk Management: Work closely with Risk and Compliance departments to identify and mitigate potential risks related to IT systems.

·        Project Management: Lead or participate in various IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.

·        Training and Mentoring: Mentor junior staff members and provide training on Microsoft technologies and best practices.

·        Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with team members.

·        This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

·        Occasional after-hours and weekend support will be needed as required by the organization.

·        Branch Office support as needed for initiatives and projects such as new branch deployments and working with ISPs and vendors.

·        Business travel may be necessary to meet with vendors and attend training opportunities.

·        Expected to handle a wide range of technical challenges and contribute to the overall stability, security, and efficiency of the bank's IT infrastructure while complying with regulatory requirements.

·        Identify potential issues before they become critical problems.

·        A strong working knowledge of identifying, connecting, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software, components, and devices.

·        Excellent communication and customer service skills with experience working in a Microsoft-focused environment.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 1 hour (unpaid) for lunch; or ½ for lunch and 2 fifteen-minute scheduled breaks.  Rotating Saturdays on a fixed schedule working from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Additional work may be required outside of “normal”business hours.

 

Travel: Travel to and from each of the Bank locations as needed.

•     Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering or related computer technology.

•     Atleast 5 years’ experience using the skills associated with the infrastructure maintenance, system administration, infrastructure hardware, and software management for a Microsoft Office environment.

•     At least 3 years’ experience in at echnical decision-making, design or leadership role.

•      Office 365/Microsoft 365/Azure eco-system.

•      VMWare virtualization, vSphere, Storage (NAS/SAN), and Networking.

•      Understanding of Firewalls,Routing, and Switching.

•      Storage architecture includingiSCSI, LUNs, and RAID.

•      Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and server hardware.

•      Domain Name registry/purchase and SSL certificate purchase/maintenance.

•      Server systems architecture, performance, and tuning.

•      Backup and recovery procedures.

•      System performance monitoring tools.

•      Effective project management techniques.

•      Customer service practices that are required to meet and exceed end-user expectations.

•      Physical, Application, and M365/Azure Security best practices.
